Standing at 1,382 meters, Padeș Peak is located near the village of Nădrag and is one of the most beautiful points along the hiking trails in the area.

Marked with various colors, the trails provide access from Nădrag to Căprioru Cabin, located about a two-hour walk along forest paths, and from there continue to nearby villages such as Gladna, Zolt, and Fârdea, where Surduc Lake is located.
